The Catechism classes will be held on every Sunday from 8:30am till 10.00am followed by the 10:00 am mass.
Registration is online, parents can register their children on the link provided in website, or Contact the Catechism Office Between 8.00 am – 10.00 am every Sunday.
Students can join Grade K on completion of Five years of age by August and continue their faith formation that culminates with the Sacrament of Confirmation in Grade 8 and completion of catechism course by Grade 12.
Each Catechism Year generally starts in September and Ends in May. Each of these 13 years has a separate Curriculum and it's compulsory for the Children to attend every Year.. At the end of the year the Child will receive a completion certificate for the year they have Completed Successfully upon request.
For First Holy Communion, Children complete their Penance Course in Grade 3 and receive their First Holy Communion in Grade 4.
For Confirmation, preparations for Confirmation begin in Grade 7 and students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation usually during Pentecost which coincides with the end of Grade 8.
Post confirmation students will continue the Teens Programme untill they completetheir Grade 12, that leads to initiation into Young Adults. The Module is designed to help the Teens to Grow in Christian faith and give their best back to the growth of Parish.
The Catechism enrolls an average of 400 - 500 students annually with a team of nearly 40 dedicated catechists looking after the faith formation of the children.
All catechists are required to undergo a Catechists Training Course before they begin teaching. Further training includes regular seminars, retreats and meetings aimed at improving teaching skills and methodology as well as spiritual formation and growth.
In addition to regular lessons, the catechism year features a number of activities oriented towards social responsibilities, charity and spiritual growth. The main activities conducted were Mission Sunday, Confirmation Retreat, Christmas Celebration, TUFF, Catechism Annual Day & Summer Camp.
